Every year, we ask the industry what’s flying off shelves and what’s sitting around. In our latest State of the Industry survey, participants shared which product categories are seeing the most action and which are struggling to move.

Best Selling Categories

  • General Merchandise: Everyday items that appeal to a wide audience. These products often sell quickly because they are practical and easy to resell.

  • Furniture and Home Decor: Items like chairs, lamps, and decorative pieces are popular as people continue to invest in their living spaces. They tend to have higher margins and consistent demand.

  • Consumer Electronics: Devices such as headphones, speakers, and smart home gadgets attract buyers looking for technology deals and offer fast turnover for resellers.

Worst Selling Categories

  • Apparel and Accessories: Clothing and fashion items often move slowly due to trends, sizing challenges, and seasonal changes.

  • Toys: This category can be hit or miss depending on the season and current popular brands. Unsold toys can sit in inventory for months.

  • Health and Beauty: Products like skincare, supplements, or cosmetics are harder to sell quickly and often require careful marketing or bundling to move.

Understanding which categories are performing well helps resellers make smarter purchasing decisions, manage inventory, and protect their margins.
